A Secret Service agent had their laptop stolen Thursday morning. The laptop, along with an access keycard, was stolen in front of the agent's home in Brooklyn, in an unoccupied vehicle.
"It's a very big deal. There's data on there that's highly sensitive," claimed a police source. "They are scrambling like mad."
The agent also told investigators the information on the computer could compromise national security. The Laptop contained floor plans and evacuation protocol for the New York City's Trump Tower, where first lady Melania and 10-year-old son Barron still reside.
The laptop also contained information relating to Hillary Clinton's email investigation.
But the Secret Service said agency-issued "laptops contain multiple levels of security including full disk encryption and are not permitted to contain classified information." The agent to whom the laptop belongs confirmed to investigators there was no information pertaining to the White House or foreign leaders stored on the laptop.
Surveillance cameras did not show the actual break-in, however, it did show a white male dressed in dark clothing pull up to the house and then exit the back passenger side of the vehicle. The same man was seen carrying the agent's bag walking down a New York street, only about 17 miles away from the Trump Tower.
Investigators were able to recover the agents black bag, but it was reported that the laptop is still missing.
