For the past few days, President Trump and First Lady Melania have been spending their time at the “Winter White House.” They have been in Palm Beach, Florida, at their resort Mar-a-Lago.

The President and First Lady spent their time with family and even attended a Christmas Eve service at the same church that they were married in. They also held a teleconference with all five branches of the military and hosted a “NORAD Santa Tracking line.”

President Trump also posted a video on Christmas day that talked about the true meaning behind the holiday.

He said, “For Christians, we remember the story of Jesus, Mary and Joseph that began more than 2,000 years ago. As the book of Isaiah tells us, for to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. This good news is the greatest Christmas gift of all, the reason for our joy and the true source of our hope.”

While the First Family did many admirable things for Christmas, the Internet is attacking one photo that First Lady Melania posted.

She tweeted a photo (seen below) on Tuesday morning with the simple caption, “#MerryChristmas.”

While some people just took the opportunity to say “Merry Christmas” back to the First Lady, the majority of people began attacking her.

People were claiming that the photo was inappropriate for a First Lady and called it “tacky.”

Another critic reportedly said, “Seriously Melania??? That photo is excessively TACKY!!! Zero class in this."

Another Twitter user said, “Incredibly tacky and an insult to the position of First Lady. #embarrassing #trumpban."

The critics failed to recognize the significant aspects of the First Lady's holiday. She showed support to military members, children, and her family. However, the focus was on one silly Christmas selfie.

What do you think about this? Did Melania deserve the criticism that she received? In other news, here's how the Trump family spent their Christmas Day.
