Instead Of Focusing On ISIS, Obama Attacks The Media For THIS Reason

Obama has recently attempted to appear tough on ISIS and terrorism in general.  His most recent speeches and interview appearances have focused on the ever increasing threat of radical Islamic terrorism and what his administration plans to do about it.

Before Obama set out for his 2 week taxpayer funded vacation in Hawaii, he wanted to clear the air and let the country know that he is working to the best of his abilities to defeat the “JV” terrorist group ISIS, the same group that he on multiple occasions has declared to be “contained.”

According to CNN, Obama recently sat down with NPR for an interview.  “We haven’t on a regular basis, I think, described all the work that we’ve been doing for more than a year now to defeat ISIL,” Obama said.  He also admitted that his lack of leadership on the issue has garnered “legitimate criticism of what I’ve been doing and our administration has been doing.”

Instead of using the opportunity to describe the “work” that the administration has been doing to stop the growth and reach of ISIS, Obama blamed the media.  “If you’ve been watching television for the last month, all you have been seeing, all you have been hearing about is these guys with masks or black flags who are potentially coming to get you,” Obama said.

Obama went on to suggest the media is giving too much attention to horrible acts of terror.  “Look, the media is pursuing ratings.  This is a legitimate news story,” Obama said, “I think that, you know, it’s up to the media to make a determination about how they want to cover things.”

It is awkward to listen to Obama complain about a media bias when the media is overwhelmingly liberal.  The leader of this country needs to be more concerned about protecting American citizens than downplaying the terrorist groups that threaten this country and blaming the media that reports on the horrific attacks.
