In the Midst of Her Grief, What is Kathie Lee Gifford Thinking About?

Kathie Lee Gifford lost her beloved husband Frank this last year. The two had been married almost 30 years, and shared so much together in their lives.

After he passed away in August, it would be totally understandable if Kathie Lee was just focused on her grief and herself for an extended period of time. She took some time off from the Today Show these past few weeks, perhaps just for some rest and rejuvenation.

Yet in the middle of her time off, she sent a message saying that it had been 71 years since the liberation of Auschwitz, the notorious German concentration camp where so many Jews and others lost their live. She said: "...Praying we will never again stand by and allow such evil to flourish. #stop the madness!"

It is heartwarming to see a major star, who could easily be caught up both her own fame as well as her own emotions and grief, take time to focus on tragedy in the world and issue a warning that we must never again allow such things to take place! Kathie Lee we need more people like you.
