Iconic 'James Bond' Star Passes Away at Age 79

Around the globe, the character named “James Bond” is loved by fans. Movies and books have captivated audiences for years and been iconic entertainment hits.

Now, a star in the iconic series has sadly passed away. Karin Dor has died at the age of 79. Our prayers go out to her family and friends.

Karin Dor, who famously starred in 1967 Bond film You Only Live Twice alongside Sean Connery — died on Monday evening. The role in the film made her a household name around the globe at the time.

She was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Karin is survived by her only child, a son named Andreas. Reports stated she had been ill since suffering a major fall last year.

Besides the Bond film with Sean Connery, Dor had an extremely successful career. Her work spanned 5 decades and she even starred in Alfred Hitchcock's 1969 thriller, “Topaz.”
