Quite possibly afraid they'd never get access to President Donald Trump in the next four to eight years, the leftist Huffington Post finally removed an offensive editor's note they'd be running with every one of their Trump-related stories, according to Politico.
The note, which has been included for months, read: "Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S."
Many of the accusations were also clickable links to hit pieces the HuffFo had run on Trump.
HuffPo's Washington bureau chief Ryan Grim sent out a memo on election night that read, “The thinking is that (assuming he wins) that he’s now president and we’re going to start with a clean slate. If he governs in a racist, misogynistic way, we reserve the right to add it back on. This would be giving respect to the office of the presidency which Trump and his backers never did."
Seems like a tough slate to clean, especially when you word it like that.
What do you think about this?
