How Many Languages Has The Bible Been Translated Into? How Many Languages Are Left?

Bible translation has been one of the most incredible and vital fulfillments of Jesus' command to "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). According to Wycliffe Bible Translators, more than 550 of the world's languages have a completed translation of the Word of God. On top of that, over 1,300 languages have at least the New Testament.

Praise God for working through the hearts and hands of men and women to bring the Gospel to all corners of the earth! Despite humanity's sin at the Towel of Babel (Genesis 11:1-11) that led to our separation of languages, God is still providing a way to share the Good News of salvation by bridging our language divides.

But how many languages are active in the world? Around 7,000. There is still much work to do!
