This is not the first time Phil Robertson, patriarch of 'Duck Dynasty', has taken heat for his strongly-stated conservative feelings. His family's show was nearly cancelled due to his previous statements on homosexuality. But (thankfully), it appears that the duck hunter doesn't care.
Robertson recently sent out an e-mail to conservatives asking for their support of a venture that would promote religious liberties, and specifically, Judeo-Christian values. Robertson believes that the moral fabric of our nation is being torn apart by liberal philosophy and is calling all conservatives to stand strong against the tide.
"This is Phil Robertson from Duck Commander and I’ve got a radical idea," he wrote. "Men should use the men’s bathroom and women should use the women’s bathroom. Just because a man may “feel” like a woman doesn’t mean he should be able to share a bathroom with my daughter, or yours."
"That used to be called common sense. Now it’s called bigoted. The Judeo-Christian values that led America to greatness are under full assault by the mob mentality of political correctness, and we’re slowly losing our soul."
CNN reports that liberals, of course, did not like Robertson's statements. They lashed out with insults, like these on Twitter.
But Robertson isn't one to cave to peer pressure, as we've already seen. His appeal continued with force to conservatives: "Those trying to drive faith from our society, whitewash our history, and lie about what we believe are not many -- but they're loud. It's time to drown them out."
"We can do it by building a movement of courageous Americans who value the Constitution and our shared Judeo-Christian principles, and are willing to engage in the debates of our times."
We are totally behind Phil. Are you, too? Let us hear your thoughts in the Comments! Thank you!
