Sadly, too many famous celebrities and entertainers have died at young ages in recent years. One of the more recent deaths that made headlines in the sports world was the passing of an NFL legend.
Terry Glenn, best known for playing the NFL as an all-star wide receiver, died after a recent car accident. According to Glenn's fiancé, the pair was returning home from a Dallas Cowboys game on Nov. 20 when Glenn smashed his truck into a concrete divider, ejecting the WR from the vehicle.
Glenn suffered severe injuries during the crash. He died shortly after paramedics arrived on the scene. Now, we are learning the sad cause of the wreck and how it could have all been potentially prevented.
According to TMZ, toxicology tests reveal Glenn was impaired with a .165 blood alcohol content. He also had significant amounts of marijuana in his system, according to the tests. His fiancé had originally told investigators she wasn't positive about his alcohol consumption before driving. Now, it appears the truth has come out.
Glenn was only 43 at the time of his death. During his career in the NFL, Glenn played 12 seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys from 1996-2007. He was part of the Patriots' 2001 Super Bowl team and had four seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards.
