Shortly after Hurricane Harvey devastated the Texas coast, leaving over 70 people dead and hundreds of thousands of properties destroyed, another hurricane is threatening U.S. grounds. Hurricane Irma is approaching the Florida coast and expected to hit South Florida on Sunday.

Authorities were very concerned about Category 5 Hurricane Irma, which is now being followed by Category 4 Hurricane Jose. Although Florida received a little bit of hope regarding Irma on Saturday morning, September 9th, it may not last.

Hurricane Irma was recently downgraded to a Category 3, after already making landfall in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. Even though a lower intensity storm is ideal, forecasters project that it will re-strengthen to a Category 4, and possibly a Category 5 in upcoming hours.

In certain areas in Florida, the effects of the storm have already began with strong winds and pouring rain, and some starting to lose power. Those who chose not to evacuate, are becoming very concerned.

The path was originally projected to strike the east coast of the Sunshine State, but is now predicted to hit the west coast. If current projections are accurate, Irma will crash the Florida Keys on Sunday and gradually travel up North, eventually reaching other states.

Please continue to pray for those in the path of Hurricane Irma. In other breaking news, an infamous child actor was recently found dead at 35 years old; please keep his family in your prayers, as well.
