Earlier this week, President Trump gave a speech to the Boy Scouts of America. While the speech was well-received by the scouts, many liberals and Hollywood stars have been bashing the president for the content of the speech, saying that he should never have included politics in it.
After much outrage ensued after the speech, the Boy Scouts of America released a non-endorsing statement.
They said that the BSA “is wholly non-partisan and does not promote any one position, product, service, political candidate or philosophy. The invitation to visit the National Jamboree is a long-standing tradition that is in no way an endorsement of any political party or specific politics.”
One celebrity that was particularly upset is director and producer Michael Moore. Being an Eagle Scout himself, Moore was outraged at the content of the speech. He posted on Twitter about his frustrations.
Not only did Moore express his sentiments about the speech, he used the situation to talk about going up against President Trump in the 2020 presidential elections. He posted about it on Facebook and explained what he would do "when" he wins.
The director claimed the situation to be “child abuse on a mass scale.” Moore ended his post with harsh words about taking back America from President Trump, who he referred to as a “dangerous, sick clown.”
What do you think about this? Let us know on Facebook. Michael Moore isn’t the only celebrity to be outspoken about their frustrations with President Trump. This singer just announced that she will no longer display the American flag at her concerts just because it reminds her of the president!
