On Tuesday, the star actress of the hit show "This Is Us," got engaged. Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith had been dating for two years before he popped the big question.
The 33-year-old actress has been gushing about her new fiance on social media and was just seen on the streets sporting her shiny engagement ring. Goldsmith reportedly asked Moore to marry him on Tuesday morning at his home in Los Angeles.
After, Moore attended what appeared to be a celebratory lunch. Outside of the restaurant, she waved her left hand back and forth to show off her ring.
The ring is silver with a simple stone at the center. Insiders revealed that the ring she wanted is "understated" because it is "very Mandy."
Moore's "This Is Us" costar, Chris Sullivan, confirmed the engagement on Wednesday. He said that Moore sent a photo to their TV family group text when it happened.
He told Us Weekly, "It’s pretty great. Her now fiancé, Taylor, is quickly becoming one of my favorite people. He and I just finished doing some recording together. I think that they are a beautiful pair."
Jon Huertas, Moore's TV husband, explained his excitement as well. He said, "My TV wife is engaged! I'm happy for her. I want her to join the club. We can talk marriage stuff. I don't [know] if they're thinking about kids yet."
Moore has been married once before but feels ready to jump into this new season.
She said, "My life has sort of taken unexpected twists and turns professionally and personally, but overall my journey is the reason I am here today and I feel fulfilled by everything that happened."
The engagement adds to the list of exciting things currently happening for Moore. "This Is Us" season 2 is releasing this month, and the show was awarded 11 Emmy nominations.
