TV is so powerful, especially to our children. It shows them what's popular, whats "ok," what's acceptable, and what's not. And if something is done by a character your kids (or you, for that matter!) look up to, it's sorted in this little spot in our brain as "good," whether we are aware of it or not.
That's why it is so terrible--so heart-breaking--to hear that 'Scandal,' a hit TV show on ABC, just showed a lead character having an abortion as an act of strength and heroism. Here, in a Facebook post, conservative blogger Matt Walsh explains what happened and why it's so terrible:
