High-Risk Recall Alert: Before Being Shipped to the U.S., Food Product was Not Fully Inspected


A food company in Canada, Maple Leaf Foods Inc., is recalling over 20,000 products that were not fully inspected before being distributed to the United States.

Two different products were affected by this recall that were distributed nationwide.

The USDA reports:

“Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.”

This recall is classified as ‘Class I, high risk’.

Because of the possible health risks, consumers are encouraged to throw these products away or return to the store immediately.
