Chip and Joanna Gaines from HGTV’s hit series “Fixer Upper” have become a fan-favorite Christian couple among conservatives and believers. Even though the couple recently revealed that season 5 would be the show’s final season, the two are still expected to stay in the spotlight.

On Wednesday, November 1st, Chip announced that he would finally be cutting his hair—an oddly hot topic for “Fixer Upper” fans. Half of their audience is all for the change, but the rest chimed in, insisting that he leave his hair long.

On Thursday, Chip gave more details about what cutting his hair involves. He will actually be chopping his locks for a good cause—St. Jude, a children’s research hospital that is dedicated to fighting childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

On the Magnolia Foundation page, Chip stated, “Jo and I are visiting the sweet kids at Target House with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis next week, and we are truly honored just to have the opportunity to meet them. We're so honored, in fact, that I want to do something big to bless these kiddos.”

He continued, “Basically...we want to bring them a giant check from YOU. Donate to St. Jude through this page, and the more money we raise before November 5th, the shorter my hair goes. That's a promise. And, who knows, maybe if you really exceed my expectations...I'll buzz it all off.”

If you would like to support Chip and Joanna Gaines in their mission of raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (and see Chip with a lot less hair), please visit their website to make a contribution. May God bless their efforts in supporting this great cause!
