Guess Who Jerry Falwell Jr. Just Endorsed for President

Jerry Falwell Jr. is President of Liberty University, which with 100,000 students is the world's largest Christian university. His father, the late Jerry Falwell, was founder and President of the Moral Majority and was a well known evangelical leader.

On Tuesday, Jerry Falwell Jr. endorsed Donald Trump for the Republican nomination for President. In some ways this is not a surprise, since Liberty just hosted Donald Trump to speak to their weekly convocation and Jerry Falwell Jr. had given Trump a very enthusiastic introduction.

In other ways, though, it is still somewhat of a surprise, since Trump is not the most conservative or evangelical of the candidates. According to a statement given to the Washington Post, Falwell said Trump was a "successful executive and entrepreneur, a wonderful father and a man who I believe can lead our country to greatness again."

This follows Sarah Palin's endorsement of Trump last week, so at least two noted social conservatives have endorsed Donald in one week.
