At a presidential town hall event yesterday, a Gold Star Mother asked President Barack Obama why he refuses to the use the term "radical Islamic terrorist."
Obama gave a lengthy reply, but essentially said that he didn't want to "validate" radical Islamic terrorists by acknowledging that they have anything to do with Islam.
"Call these folks what they are, which is killers and terrorists," he said.
He also used the anti-Israel term "ISIL" to describe ISIS (read why Obama says ISIL) and went to great lengths to explain why drawing any connection between Islam and terrorists is something he cannot do for fear of offending Muslims. See his rationale here:
