Karrien Stevens runs Little Diamonds Nursery in London. She has just confirmed that a member fo her staff was stabbed while on her way to the school.
"Karrien Stevens, who runs Little Diamonds Nursery in Hermon Hill, London said a member of staff, aged in her 30s, was punched, kicked and slashed by three girls while on her way to work this morning," reads the Daily Mail.
The woman was apparently attacked from behind. Three assailants assaulted her and knocked her to the ground, before stabbing her in the arm. The women were reported to be chanting "Allah" and said "Allah will get you" during the attack.
At this time, police are not treating it as a terrorist incident. Nearby schools were in lockdown over the event.
The victim was able to escape after a man ran up and the assailants ran away. The girls were described as Asian.
'When she got to work we couldn't believe it and called the police straight away. It's terrible, I'm absolutely horrified. You don't expect something like this to happen on your doorstep.'
A spokesman for the London Ambulance service said help arrived within six minutes. The woman was treated at a local hospital.
The attack comes just days after another incident in London where people were stabbed, some fataly. That situation has been ruled a terrorist attack.
