Many have been horrified at the treatment of baby Charlie Gard, now known and cared about internationally. The 11 month little boy has a terminal condition that has a chance for treatment in America. However, England's state-run health care will not allow him to leave and also refuses to give him further chance for recovery at their own facility.
Many are calling foul on this overreach of state control mixed with unfeeling care for little Charlie. His parents, Connie Yates and Chris Gard, made the statement, reports Fox News: "He's our son, he's our flesh and blood and we feel that it should be our right as parents to decide to give him a chance at life," Yates said. "For a medication that is just an oral medicine, no known major side effects, you know, there is nothing to lose. He deserves a chance."
Franklin Graham is the latest to make a strong statement condemning the treatment of baby Gard. He also issued a warning to all Americans of the dangers of state-run heath care.
"Charlie's case is expected to be back in Britain's High Court on Monday. The hospital requested the hearing because of new medical information from researchers at the Vatican's children's hospital suggesting experimental treatment might possibly be useful," reports Fox News.
Let's pray that they have mercy and let him go to find a chance at survival! What do you think about this case? Share your thoughts and prayers in the Comments! Thank you!
