One of America’s most recognizable presidents, Jimmy Carter, collapsed yesterday while working on a home for Habitat for Humanity. It occurred in Winnipeg, Canada.

Officials rushed him to the hospital after the collapse. At 92 years of age, anything could have been wrong with him.

However, after statements from doctors and hospital officials, we now know the cause of his collapse. President Carter had simply become dehydrated after working outside in the hot sun.

"President Carter was dehydrated working in the hot sun. President Carter told us he is okay and is being taken offsite for observation. He encourages everyone to stay hydrated and keep building," Habitat for Humanity CEO Jonathan Reckford said.

While being taken away from the site, it appears President Carter knew exactly why he had collapsed, even if doctors had not confirmed it at the time. The former president even offered words of encouragement to others before leaving.

"President Carter was dehydrated working in the hot sun. President Carter told us he is okay and is being taken offsite for observation. He encourages everyone to stay hydrated and keep building," Reckford said Thursday.

In an aging conclusion to the situation, President Carter was released from the hospital Friday morning. He has now returned to the job site for the final day of the build!
