First Lady Melania Trump presented a notable speech on Wednesday, September 20th at the United Nations. In her speech, she emphasized the dangers of cyberbullying and encouraged world leaders to teach children by example—to be kind, mindful, and have integrity.

Unfortunately, following her very memorable speech, the First Lady herself was verbally attacked online. As Fox News stated, “Although [Melania] spoke about the dangers of cyberbullying, she became a victim of the very behavior she is trying to end.”

Instead of soaking in the importance behind Melania’s words, people chose to criticize her for her outfit choice. Melania stepped up to the podium wearing a fluorescent, hot pink designer dress, drawing a lot of negative attention from anti-Trumps.

This isn’t the first time Melania has been criticized for her clothes or accessories. Back in August, liberal journalists harped on the First Lady for wearing high heels during the Hurricane Harvey relief visit.

What do you think about people continuing to bash the First Lady over fashion choices? Should the way she dresses even matter? Share your thoughts in our Facebook comments.
