Fifth State Chooses To Defund Planned Parenthood, Redirect Funds

According to LiveAction News, Utah has joined New Hampshire, Louisiana, Alabama, and Arkansas in defunding Planned Parenthood in their state.

The Beehive State chose to redirect the $225,000 in funding to local health care agencies, including ones that focus on women's health, instead in response to the gruesome Planned Parenthood videos recently released.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert said “We are not going to stop that funding. It just won’t be made available through Planned Parenthood. The thing I find most appalling is the casualness, the callousness … the lack of respect, the lack of sensitivity to the unborn.”
