Hillary Clinton can’t seem to distance herself from the scandals plaguing her campaign. Despite being the mainstream media’s darling and their choice for president, Clinton finds herself coming under increasing scrutiny and one step closer to criminal charges.
The FBI is looking to expand their investigation into Hillary Clinton beyond just her emails and handling of classified information. According to Fox News, the investigation is expanding to see whether or not Clinton violated corruption laws through her work with the State Department and also the Clinton Foundation.
“The agents are investigating the possible intersection of Clinton Foundation donations, the dispensation of State Department contracts and whether regular processes were followed,” an unnamed source told Fox. The Clinton Foundation is a public charity that received grants and contributions of more than $144 million in 2013. Donation numbers from the past two years are not currently available.
Approximately 100 agents have been assigned to the Hillary investigations, with an additional 50 on temporary assignment.
