After the way US Attorney General interfered with the FBI’s first investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of an illegal private server by meeting with Bill Clinton in secret, it appears that FBI Director James Comey wasn’t going to take any chances the 2nd time around.
On Friday, Comey announced in a letter to members of Congress that the FBI was re-opening the investigation into Hillary Clinton after pertinent emails were found on a device from a separate investigation.
The emails in question were found on several devices belonging to Hillary Clinton’s closest aide, Huma Abedin and her disgraced husband Anthony Weiner. Weiner is currently under investigation for sexting and sending sexual material over the phone to a 15 year old girl.
During the first investigation Comey kept Lynch and the Department of Justice in the loop regarding the investigation. This time around, Comey went against normal protocol to make sure that Congress and the American people knew what was going on.
Loretta Lynch implored Comey to follow D.O.J. procedure and not comment on the investigation because she feared it could influence the outcome of the election. According to Breitbart, Comey ignored her recommendation because he felt that the American people had the right to know that the Democratic nominee was once again in the midst of a criminal investigation.
Do you think Comey did the right thing?
