Famous Television Star Dies Overnight

An Emmy-nominated actress has passed away, sadly. She is survived by her husband and son.

"It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of Glenne Headly," her reps said in a statement. "We ask that her family's privacy be respected in this difficult time."

Headly was a film and TV star who's most notable role was co-starring next to Warren Beatty in the 1990's film "Dick Tracy". She was also in the series "Lonesome Dove", a role that earned her an Emmy nomination.

Most recently, Headly was working on a production with Seth Rogen that was to be produced for Hulu. It was a comedy series entitled "Future Man".

According to NBC News, on the television side, she played Dr. Abby Keaton in Season 3 of "ER," as well as playing a starring role in the short-lived NBC comedy series "Encore! Encore!" Recently, she appeared in the HBO miniseries "The Night Of," as well as the feature drama "The Circle" along with Emma Watson and Tom Hanks.
