Sean and Catherine Giudici Lowe made an exciting announcement on Friday morning. "The Bachelor" alumni are expecting their second child together and posted an adorable video to tell the world.
Sean and Catherine met on season 17 of "The Bachelor" and tied the knot in 2014. While falling in love on the show, fans across the world fell in love with the two as a couple. Throughout their marriage, their fan base has grown as people have been inspired by their strong characters and Christian faith, low key lifestyle, and willingness to fight for their relationship despite starting out on abnormal circumstances.
The Lowes had their first child, Samuel Thomas, in July of 2016. Now at 16 months old, Samuel is going to be a big brother.
The couple took to Instagram on Friday morning to make the special announcement. They both used Samuel in their posts to help with sharing the news.
Sean posted a video to his account of Catherine and Samuel sitting on a couch. Sean asked Samuel if he could say "baby," and the 1-year-old pointed to Catherine's stomach and said "baba." Below is the video. (Editor's note: scroll over the video to reveal the "play" button).
Catherine also posted about her pregnancy. She posted a photo with Samuel pointing to his new sibling with the caption, "BABA NUMBA TWO."
The announcement didn't come as a surprise to many, as the couple had been open about wanting a big family. In September, Sean told People that they were hoping to have another child in 2018.
He said, "I'm 33 going on 34, so we better get crackin' sooner or later! I would say that hopefully in 2018 we have another one."
Congrats to the happy couple and growing family! In other recent news, Meghan McCain just announced her engagement to a conservative writer.
