Famous Entertainer Found Dead at Age 48

A famous entertainer has sadly just passed away. Johann Johannsson was just reported to have been found dead inside of his Berlin apartment, according to his manager.

Johann was only 48 years old. Please join us in praying for his family. We ask that God's healing grace would surround them during this tragic time in their lives.

Johann was best known for his work as a composer. His work included composing music for major Hollywood motion pictures. He even worked on “Arrival,” “Sicario” and “The Theory of Everything.”

"The acclaimed, Icelandic-born composer often blended electronics with conventional orchestra. He received Oscar, BAFTA and Grammy nominations for his 2014 score for 'The Theory of Everything' and won the Golden Globe for that score. He received a second Oscar nomination for 2015’s 'Sicario' and Golden Globe, BAFTA and Grammy nominations for his music for 'Arrival' in 2016," according to Page Six.

Johann's was most recently working on a film score that was set to be released in March. At this time, officials are still investigating his death and are set to perform an autopsy. No cause of death has been revealed at this time.

“We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our client and dear friend Jóhann Jóhannsson, whose great talent, humility and kindness enriched our lives immeasurably. His music has inspired many new generations of filmmakers and composers. He will be so greatly missed by his Gorfaine/Schwartz family as well as the entire film music community," read a statement issued by his agency.
