Famous 1950-1960’s Actress and Model Dead at 82

Elsa Martinelli, famous 1950’s-1960’s actress and model, passed away recently at age 82. According to People, she died in Rome on Saturday, July 8th of 2017. An official cause of death was not listed.

She was born in Italy and began modeling before she transitioned into an acting career. People mentioned before Martinelli's acting career took off, she appeared in major magazines such as ‘Vogue’ and ‘Life’. Throughout her time in the entertainment industry, she was very well-known for her beauty. 

Although Martinelli was most well-known in Italy, she was also famous in the U.S. after starring in the 1955 film, ‘The Indian Fighter,’ with American actor Kirk Douglas. The movie revolves around a scout, famous for fighting Indians, who ends up falling in love with a Chief's daughter.
