“Christmas in July came early this year,” conservative media analyst Mark Dice said Tuesday morning after Project Veritas released undercover footage of a CNN supervising producer admitting that everything President Trump has said about CNN and their “fake news” coverage is actually true.

Undercover journalists brought Project Veritas so much national attention during the election that even the mainstream media had to stop ignoring the bombshell videos they released of Democratic operatives admitting to instigating corrupt, and even violent, tactics in Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Those videos, released shortly before the November election, exposed her campaign’s use of violent brawl instigators, mentally ill people to do their dirty work, illegal and unethical dealings, rampant voting fraud, fake news events, and illegal coordination between Hillary’s campaign and the Democratic National Convention.

And now Project Veritas is going after the liberal mainstream media, starting with CNN. Their newest video, released Monday evening, shows undercover footage of senior producer John Bonifield revealing that conservatives are absolutely correct to seriously doubt CNN’s ability to be an objective, unbiased, and ethical news outlet.

“Since the inauguration, CNN has mentioned Russia on their air nearly 16,000 times,” Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe tells his viewers. “So we sent our undercover reporters inside CNN to understand why and to determine if CNN even believes if the [Trump-Russia collusion] story is even real.”

“So you believe that Russia thing is a little crazy, right?” the undercover Veritas reporter asked Bonifield while secretly recording him.

Bonifield replied, “Even if Russia was trying to swing an election, we try to swing their elections. Our CIA is doing s*** all the time. We’re out there trying to manipulate governments. You win because you know the game and you play it right. She [Hillary] didn’t play it right.”

So then the undercover reporter asked, “Then why is CNN constantly like, Russia this, Russia that?”

“Because it’s ratings,” Bonifield freely admitted. “Our ratings are incredible right now.

Bonifield continued, “So, my boss — I shouldn’t say this. My boss yesterday...he goes — just give you some context — President Trump pulled out of the climate accords and for a day and a half we covered the climate accords. And the CEO of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said, ‘Good job everybody covering the climate accords. But we’re done with it; let’s get back to Russia.’”

Bonifield explained why CEO Jeff Zucker made that call and how journalism ethics have no place at CNN.

“It’s a business. People are like the media has an ethical…” Bonifield said before making a dismissive sound and gesture. “But, all the nice, cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school, you’re like, ‘That’s adorable. That’s adorable.’ This is business. Especially cable news. Cable news isn’t the New York Times. It’s not even like NBC news. I mean, NBC news still gets 20 million viewers a night. Cable news is getting a million.”

In other words, CNN has to toss aside ethics in order to complete with network news and will do whatever it takes to get viewers.

“So they got to do what they got to do to make their money, I think,” Bonifield, who has worked for CNN for 15 years, admitted about his bosses. “And I love the news business, but I’m very cynical about it and, at the same time, so are most of the colleagues.”

It’s no wonder why. He also admitted that CNN treated President Obama with kid gloves in comparison to Trump.

“I think there are a lot of liberal CNN viewers who want to see Trump really get scrutinized,” Bonifield explained. “And I think we would have behaved that way with President Obama and scrutinized everything he was doing with as much scrutiny as we applied to Donald Trump, I think our viewers would have been turned off. I think they would have felt like we were attacking him. I think our viewers right now...and I’m not saying all our viewers are super liberals; I think there’s just a lot of them.”

But asked if he really believes there’s truth behind the Trump-Russia collusion theory CNN keeps pushing, Bonifield said, “Could be b*******. I mean, it’s mostly b******* right now. Like, we don’t have any big, giant proof. But then they say, well there’s still an investigation going on. I don’t know, if you were finding something, we would know about it. The way these leaks happen, they’d like it. It’d leak. If it was something really good, it would leak.”

He continued expressing his doubt that there’s any truth behind the collusion theory, saying, “The leaks keep leaking, and there are so many great leaks, and it’s amazing. And I just refuse to believe that if they had something really good like that, that wouldn’t leak because we’ve been getting all these other leaks. So I just feel like they don’t really have it but they want to keep digging.”

Bonifield then really dropped the hammer on his news outlet’s coverage, saying, “And so I think the president is probably right to say, like, ‘Look you are witch-hunting me. You have no smoking gun. You have no real proof.”
