Josh Duggar’s scandals shocked his devoutly Christian family to their foundations last year and blindsided their millions of viewers and supporters. The entire Duggar family was pulled off the air by TLC and ridiculed by anti-Christian elements within the mainstream media.
The Duggar family has since made their improbable return to television. Some members of the family sat down with Paula Faris of ABC News to address Josh’s scandals and how it affected their family.
“The devil took his best shot,” John-David Duggar told Faris. “And he tried to take our whole family down, but God has really used this to, instead of tearing us apart as a family, he’s using it to draw us together. We’ve forgiven, and we’re moving on, and we’re looking to the future.”
Jessa Duggar Seewald also weighed in on why the family is embracing their return to television. “If we can encourage even one other person out there who’s struggling, then that needs to be our goal,” Jessa said. “We’ve had a lot of healing in our family these past few months and we’re ready to move forward and share our lives.”
