An extremely dangerous 100 mph big rig truck chase that led to Arlington, Texas has come to an end with the arrest of the driver.
According to CBS DFW, the chase started in Fort Worth when the suspect took off during a traffic stop.
Up to a dozen people were injured as the truck sped down I-30, colliding with other cars. The chase ended when the truck hit a car and a retaining wall, causing the car to burst into flame.
According to Fox 10 Phoenix, a police spokeswoman told reporters that the driver of the car kicked out his window and escaped before his vehicle burst into flame. The flames also set fire to the big rig.
The truck’s driver was finally arrested after a long standoff with police. His condition has not been released. He is being taken to the hospital.
It's unknown at this time if the truck was stolen, according to the Dallas Morning News. Earlier reports that there was a female in the big rig are said to be false.
