Donald Trump Has New Name Besides ‘Fake News’ for CNN

Since the 2016 U.S. election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, Trump has continuously called out certain news media outlets for reporting false/skewed information. The most well-known among the outlets is CNN, which Trump commonly refers to as ‘Fake News CNN’.

On July 1st of 2017, Trump announced he may start calling the media outlet something different. Instead of calling it ‘Fake News CNN’, he will now refer to the network as 'Fraud News CNN'. Trump also ‘pinned’ the tweet to the top of his Twitter page, making it the first post to be seen by any user who visits his page (note: the tweet is pinned as of July 1st; this will most likely change over time).

Other users responded to Trump’s comment. Some were upset with his post, claiming he is wasting his time with the ‘Fake News’ debacle. However, others supported his remark in agreement with the mainstream media’s persuasion of liberal values. See a few tweets in response to Trump below.

Trump also tweeted about CNN hours earlier, saying he’s glad the network is finally getting ‘exposed’ for their failure to report the truth.
