Disturbing Details Emerge In Deadly Shooting Spree By Man Who Yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’
Disturbing details are emerging in a deadly shooting spree in Fresno, Calif. Tuesday afternoon by a man who yelled “allahu akbar” as he was arrested by police.
According to the Los Angeles Times, 39-year-old Kori Ali Muhammad, who is suspected in the murder of a security guard on Thursday, shot three people to death in the downtown area.
Appearing to pick his white victims at random, the black man first shot to death the passenger of a utility company truck, shot and missed another person, and killed someone else before gunning down a man in a Catholic Charities parking lot.
He fired 16 shots in all from a .357 revolver.
According to Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer, Muhammad had declared war on the government and white people.
It is not known at this time if he is connected to any terrorist organizations.
Muhammad’s dad Vincent Taylor told the Times that he was “happy he was arrested. I would hope that whatever Kori tells [police,] they take him seriously and they start following up.”
On Saturday, Muhammad posted a photo of himself on social media, talked about killing people, mentioned going to “the other side,” and wrote “allahu akbar.” He also thanked Allah for striking America with natural disasters, according to Heavy.
A supporter of Black Lives Matter and black nationalism, Muhammad has used social media to praised police shootings and has a history of drug and weapons violations.
