As President Trump continues on his tour abroad, he made a very important stop recently. On Tuesday, President Trump met with His Holiness, the Pope of the Catholic Church.
As some may recall, the two men have a rocky past. The Pope has openly criticized President Trump for some of his political positions and even said it was not Christian to build walls, instead of bridges.
The President was also critical of the Pope during his campaigning days. On numerous occasions, he disagreed publicly with the Pope and openly pointed out the big and beautiful wall that surrounds the Vatican where the Pope lives.
Since taking office, the two have seemed to accept one another and are coming together in an effort to create positive change and collaborate. During their recent meeting, the President was heard saying "Thank you. I won't forget what you said to me. Good luck," to the Pope.
They also exchanged gifts, as is the tradition. The President gave the Pope numerous first edition books from Martin Luther King Jr. as an offering of friendship, respect and good will. It was a truly powerful moment.

What do you think about this? Do you think the meeting was fruitful?
