Did You See How Google Chose To Celebrate Easter On Their Homepage?

Did you see how Google chose to celebrate Easter Sunday on their homepage?

Not at all.

Google changes its logo almost daily, creating “Google doodles” to commemorate numerous holidays, famous people, historical events, and the like, but this Sunday — and so far this Monday as well — the multi-faceted Internet giant chose to completely ignore the holiday’s existence, even though it’s celebrated around the world by both secular and religious people.

In fact, UK’s Daily Mail pointed out that Google hasn’t acknowledged Easter on their homepage since the year 2000 when they replaced the Os in Google with Easter Eggs.

In fact, the Tennessee Star points out that the only time Google has changed their homepage in recent years for Easter was when Easter Sunday happened to fall on March 31, which is Cesar Chavez Day. Google chose to celebrate Cesar Chavez instead.

Google has received criticism in the past for some of its celebratory doodles, like the one last year commemorating the life of “peace advocate” Yuri Kochiyama, a Osama Bin Laden and Fidel Castro supporter who praised domestic terrorist attacks in America.
