In a pop culture world swamped with the political opinions of liberal celebrities, its unusual to see a Hollywood star breaking ranks and saying something conservatives in large can agree on.

But that was the case with Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington who last Wednesday summed up what's wrong with the mainstream media in just two sentences.

According to The Hill, Denzel told ITK, "If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you do read it, you're misinformed."

He also criticized the media for sacrificing accuracy for being the first to break news.

He said media is obsessed with "the need to be first, not even to be true anymore."

Speaking directly to the reporters clustered around him, Denzel exclaimed, "So what a responsibility you all have — to tell the truth. In our society, now it's just first — who cares, get it out there. We don't care who it hurts. We don't care who we destroy. We don't care if it's true."

He added, "Just say it, sell it. Anything you practice you'll get good at — including BS."

What do you think of this?
