Eric Paslay, American country singer, made a heartbreaking announcement on Labor Day. One of his close family members, his grandfather, passed away at 90 years old.
In his announcement, he discussed how much he will miss hearing his grandpa’s stories and the support he gave him with his music. Although him and his family are hurting, Paslay stated that he has comfort in the fact that he will see him again “because of the grace and love of Jesus.”
He wrote in a heartfelt post, “I will miss seeing at my own shows. He was one of my first fans, so much so that he would buy 10 CDs at a show and try to hide them acting like he bought 1! I will miss my Grandpa, but I know we will meet again because of the grace and love of Jesus.”
Paslay continued, “I am proud to be the grandson of Cecil Paslay and I wouldn’t be who I am today without him. Love you Grandpa, say hi to Grandma for me!”
Paslay is well-known for a variety of songs including “Friday Night” and “She Don’t Love You.” He has also worked with other popular country artists such as Dierks Bentley and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2016.
Please keep Eric Paslay’s family in your prayers. Another tragedy in a celebrity’s family also took place recently; a famous singer’s family revealed that they lost relatives in Hurricane Harvey.
