Country singer Chris Stapleton and his singer-songwriter wife Morgane have some exciting news. Not only have they been married for ten years, but they also announced that they’re expecting, reported RareCountry.
Morgane, who’s written music for singers like Carrie Underwood, Trisha Yearwood, and Kellie Pickler, announced the pregnancy on Instagram. There was a twist. The couple isn’t just expecting one baby—they’re having twins!
Morgane, who also sings with Chris as his harmony vocalist, revealed the exciting news on her Instagram page on Oct. 30.
“Fourteen years, two babies and two more on the way,” she wrote, alongside a black and white photo that shows her and Chris gazing deeply into each other’s eyes. “Happy 10-year anniversary babe! You make my whole world go ’round.”
Fellow country singer Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum quickly commented on the post. She congratulated the Stapletons, adding #twinmoms UNITE!” Scott is also expecting twins
The “Tennessee Whiskey” singer and his wife already have two children together. They have a son and a daughter, whose names they have decided not to release.
Stapleton had already shared the news a couple of days earlier during a sold-out crowd. The Dallas Observer reported that Chris revealed his wife was pregnant with “two more” during his concert at the Dallas Starplex Pavillion in Texas on Oct. 28.
While introducing his wife, Stapleton sang, “Here’s a woman who’s had two of my babies, and she’s about to have two more of my babies.”
“She’s the love of my life,” he sang.
At this point, there’s no word on how far along Morgane is in her pregnancy. Either way, life seems to be “sweeter than strawberry wine” for them and their soon to be four children.
