Country Music Legend Announces Something Amazing to Help Hurricane Victims, Fans Go Wild

Recently, the people of Houston, Texas have been hit extremely hard after Hurricane Harvey destroyed their homes. Thousands of people have been displaced and are currently living in shelters.

As the destruction draws national attention, many celebrities began donating money to help people. However, one country music icon just made a major announcement.

“We are working on putting together relief efforts with the whole country music community,” George Strait tweeted.

He announced the big news via his Twitter page. Fans were thrilled to learn he is going to be pitching in to help in the relief effort.

“The singer was born in the small town of Poteet, Texas— just south of San Antonio. He also has a home in Rockport, one of the heaviest hit places when Harvey first made landfall. Strait tweeted his friends and family were personally affected by the storm,” according to Fox News.
