Since the 2016 U.S. election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, Trump has continuously called out certain news media outlets for reporting false/skewed information. The most well-known among the outlets is CNN, which Trump commonly refers to as ‘Fake News CNN’.
On July 1st of 2017, Trump announced he may start calling the media outlet something different. Instead of calling it ‘Fake News CNN’, he will now refer to the network as 'Fraud News CNN'. Trump also later stated he is glad the outlet is finally being ‘exposed’ and tweeted a video of him ‘taking down’ CNN.
In response, CNN and ABC Contributor Ana Navarro called President Trump a ‘bully’. She said, “Nobody at CNN is scared. If anything, this is making each and every one of us more resolute not to cower at the bullying of this president.”
She continues, “This is a free press, this is a free country, this is a democracy. And if he thinks that with these little tricks he’s going to scare anybody at CNN, he’s got something different coming. We are resolute...speaking the truth and calling out right versus wrong.”
