Christians, Franklin Graham Is Asking Us To Encourage The Man Taking THIS STAND Against Disney
It takes a lot of guts to a) forfeit profit as a businessperson and to b) take a stand against the ever-oppressive LGBT movement. You've seen how it goes: someone stands for heterosexual relationships and traditional marriage, and they're labeled "hateful," "bigoted," and "homophobic."
Conversely, the LGBT movement has appropriated for themselves the terms "love," (as in, 'Love Wins') and "equality"--when in reality God is love and equality is found only through Jesus' blood (that there is no longer Jew nor Gentile, male nor female, etc.).
But there are still Christians in America who are willing to take on the negative labels to stand for the truth. Here, in a recent Facebook post, Franklin Graham stands in support of the Alabama theater owner who is refusing to show Disney's new Beauty and the Beast because of it's strong pro-homosexual message.
The new live action version of the beloved cartoon version will now have Gaston's sidekick, LeFou, be a gay man struggling with his romantic feelings toward Gaston. The director, Bill Condon, explains:
"He's confused about what he wants. It's somebody who's just realizing that he has these feelings. And Josh makes something really subtle and delicious out of it."
"And that's what has its payoff at the end, which I don't want to give away. But it is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie."
The Henegar Drive-In Theater is taking a stand against the film. The theater's owner made this strong statement:
"If I can't sit through a movie without God or Jesus sitting by me then we have no business showing it. I know there will be some that do not agree with this decision."
"That's fine. We are first and foremost Christians. We will not compromise on what the Bible teaches. We will continue to show family oriented films so you can feel free to come watch wholesome movies without worrying about sex, nudity, homosexuality, and foul language. Thank you for your support!"
Franklin Graham is asking us to stand behind the theater owner. Will you post your prayers and support for them in the Comments? Thank you!
