Britax has issued a recall of more than 200,000 of its B-Safe seats’ clips due to a concern that the chest clip can break and pose a choking hazard, according to Parents magazine.

Recalled clips of the affected car seats include models B-Safe 35, B-Safe 35 Elite, BOB B-Safe 35 Infant seats, and accompanying travel systems. The products were manufactured between November 2015 and May 2017. The full list can be found on the company’s recall site

Britax offers a replacement kit. Customers who registered their car seats will automatically be sent a replacement kit. Customers who have not can contact Britax to get the safety clip. The phone number is 1-833-474-7016. Customers can also email stroller.recall@britax.com.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s recall report, the replacement clip is stronger and more durable, and less likely to break apart. According to Parents Magazine, the old hazardous clip will say “ABS” printed on it; the new safer clip will have the letters “PC.”

To date, no choking injuries have been reported.
