Check Your Freezer After Widely Popular Dinner Product Recalled for Deadly Reason

A scary new recall is sweeping the nation. We urge everyone to check their freezers and make sure your products are safe and have not been recalled. Let us know if you've purchased these dinner snacks.

According to reports, Rich Products Corporation, a Vineland, N.J. establishment, is recalling approximately 3,420 pounds of beef meatball products. The meatballs are known as "ready to eat" and could be deadly.

The fewer is that the affected meatballs contain listeria monocytogenes. The deadly bacteria can cause extreme illnesses, while also leading to fatalities in some cases.

"The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 5336” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distributors in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia," according to the USDA website.

36-lb. cases containing six 6-lb. bags of “Member’s Mark Casa DI BERTACCHI ITALIAN STYLE BEEF MEATBALLS” with a “Best if Used By 17 DEC 2018” label and a lot code of 15507351 on the packaging, read the recall report.
