"Shark Tank" host and celebrity businessman Mark Cuban has made a surprising comment about national politics and the 2020 election, according to the Daily Caller. Cuban has been more vocal about his political views since the 2016 election, and even more so after the election of President Donald Trump in November.

Cuban, who endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in 2016, has been highly critical of Donald Trump in the past, and recently praised President Trump's decision to reach across the political aisle to work with the Democrats to fund Harvey and raise the debt ceiling.

“It’s pure classic Donald Trump,” said Cuban according to the Daily Caller. “I thought it was really smart…the thing about being a salesperson like President Trump is, you want to keep deals alive. The biggest fear a salesperson has is that a deal would die and so working with somebody, even if it’s for a short term, even if it’s with the Democrats keeps the deal alive.”

In his comments, Cuban implied that unlike President Trump, his own deal-making skills learned in the private sector are more transferable to the public sector. The celebrity businessman believes that Trump, a non-politician and non-traditional Republican, has been unsuccessful thus far as president because he refuses to play partisan politics.

Recently, Fox News host Neil Cavuto asked Cuban if he planned on running in 2020. He responded that being president is not his ultimate goal. Rather, he said, his ultimate goal is to increase wages across the board. The Daily Caller reported that they believe Cuban's comments were a way of hinting at a presidential run.
