Pitt was severely injured in the flames. She had no idea how severe the damage to her body was.
“I guess a part of me thought I’d be back at work on Monday, but a part of me knew that my life would never be quite the same again,” she said.
According to reports, Turia’s suffered from third-degree burns across almost 65% of her body, lost her nose, part of her earlobes, four digits and a thumb.
Turia’s road to recovery took nearly 2 years of working with doctors and specialists. At one point, she even had to wear a compression mark on her face to help treat the burns.
When Turia asked her husband if he still loved her, his response brought everyone to tears. He truly loves his wife.
“I married her soul, her character, and she’s the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams,” he said.
