BREAKING NEWS: Trump Campaign Says He'll Ditch Thursday's Debate

In what has looked like a game of chicken, GOP frontrunner Donald Trump and Fox News have been in a showtime showdown over his participation in Thursday's Republican debate.


According to Newsmax, Trump threatened to skip the upcoming debate and hold a televised town hall event at the same time if Fox News did not remove Megyn Kelly as a moderator. Kelly and Trump are in the midst of a feud over a question Kelly posed about Trump's treatment of women. Trump claims Kelly is biased against him.

Now the Washington Post has reported that Trump will likely ditch the debate.

This afternoon, Trump said during a press conference that "I probably won't be doing the debate. I'm going to have something else in Iowa."

His campaign manager Corey Lewandowski gave a more definitive answers, saying “He’s definitely not participating in the Fox News debate. His word is his bond."

Lewandowski says Trump will instead host a fundraising event for wounded warriors and other vet groups.
