BREAKING NEWS: 2 Mall Shootings In Same Area Just Minutes Apart

UPDATE AT 3:30 P.M. — The suspect Eulalio Tordil, a Department of Homeland Security police officer, has been arrested, according to FOX 5 DC. According to ABC News, one of the victims in the Montgomery Mall shooting has died.


According to NBC Washington, three people were injured — two males and one female — by a shooter in the Westfield Montgomery mall. Minutes later, 8 miles away, another shooting was reported at Aspen Hill Shopping Center in Silver Spring. All three victims are the Montgomery Mall are in critical condition, according to ABC 7, and a female victim as died as Aspen Hill, according to Bethesda Magazine. Two of the victims at Montgomery Mall are believed to have been shot while coming to the aid of the first one, according to the NY Daily News.

According to ABC 7, the suspect was wearing body armor and may be Eulalio Tordil, a local man suspected of killing his estranged wife outside of High Point High School yesterday afternoon.

Details are scarce and nearby schools and recreation centers are in lockdown.
