BREAKING: Identity Of Woman Killed By UCLA Shooter Released

Authorities have released the name of a deceased woman whose name appeared on a "kill list" written by a former doctorate student who gunned down his professor on the campus of UCLA yesterday.

According to CBS Minnesota, the woman has been identified as medical student Ashley Hasti, the wife of gunman Mainak Sarkar. Police say all the evidence is pointing to Sarkar killing his wife first before driving from their home in Minnesota to UCLA to kill the professor he claimed stole his computer code.

The professor, William Klug, was a husband and father of two greatly admired on campus and known for promoting the role of faith in God with science.

After shooting Klug, Sarkar turned the gun on himself. Police found a suicide note left for them that asked them to check on Sarkar's cat back at home. When Minnesota police entered the house, they found Hasti's body with a gunshot wound.

Another UCLA professor whose name was on the "kill list" is safe.
