After a dismal 6th place performance in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is expected to formally suspend his campaign on Wednesday afternoon.
Christie was hoping that his strong performance in the most recent debate would give him a boost in the polls. According to the Washington Times, Christie was only able to muster 7% of vote.
Christie had been polling near the bottom of the polls in South Carolina, which is the next primary race to be held. It is not known how Christie dropping out will affect the front runners, if at all.
