Bill Kristol — conservative magazine editor, political commentator, and former chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle — says he has a plan for a America, and it doesn't include Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.
After suggesting on Sunday that he had a third party candidate in mind to give voters an alternative to voting for Trump or Hillary, Kristol is eying constitutional lawyer and Iraq war veteran for president. According to Bloomberg, he believes Bronze Star recipient David French could be the alternate candidate voters are looking for.
French, of Columbia, Tennessee, is a New York Times bestselling author and a staff writer for National Review.
When asked about supporting French late Tuesday afternoon, Kristol refused to comment. Sources say French doesn't have the financial support needed to run yet but is catching the eye of some donors.
